Utah man was expected to recover after being injured over
the weekend in a Colorado hunting accident.
The man, who
friends said is from Centerville, was riding a four-wheeler about 9
a.m. Saturday about 20 miles northwest of Craig, Colo., when someone
shot him in the arm, said Lt. K.C. Hume, with the Moffat County
Sheriff’s Office.
Hume said the injuries were not believed
to be life-threatening.
He said the Utah man and his
companions were wearing appropriate gear marking them as hunters,
but it appeared that another group of hunters likely fired their
guns without being aware of their surroundings.
