HART, Mich. (WZZM) -- A 15-year-old boy is recovering from
surgery following a Newaygo County hunting accident.
It
happened around 9 a.m. Thursday in Denver Township, according to
Michigan State Police. They say it happened inside an elevated
hunting blind from which two people were hunting.
Troopers
say the teenager was shot in the lower leg, which was the result of
the accidental firing of a high-powered rifle and required immediate
surgery for his injuries.
