MI: Flint man loses hand in Richfield Township hunting accident

RICHFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI -- A hunter "blew his hand off" in a hunting mishap Saturday afternoon.
 
The 59-year-old man was climbing into a tree stand Nov. 17 when his gun accidentally discharged.
 
The bullet that struck the man's hand also grazed his forehead.
 
Michigan's firearm deer hunting season began Nov. 15.
