TOWN OF NEWBURGH, N.Y. –
Town of Newburgh Police are investigating a fatal hunting accident
that occurred late Monday afternoon.
The incident just
before 5 p.m. occurred in woods near Forest and Cronk roads, Police
Chief Michael Clancy said.
Initial reports indicated a
44-year-old male victim had been shot in the shoulder by a hunting
companion.
Police, fire and EMS personnel responded to the
scene.
