A 46-year-old man from Cisco was shot Thursday morning while deer
hunting Berry Wildlife Management Land off of U.S. 27.
The
man was shot by another hunter, identified as a 22-year-old from
Cisco, according to Capt. Johnny Johnson of the Department of
Natural Resources. He said he did not have the names of the men and
the man’s condition was not known.
“They were both walking
at the time but not together,” Johnson said.
DNR officials,
Floyd County Police, Redmond Regional Medical Center Emergency
Medical Services and the Rome-Floyd Fire Department were staged on
U.S. 27 south just south of Armuchee Church of God.
