November 20, 2012

From RomeNews-Tribune.com

A 46-year-old man from Cisco was shot Thursday morning while deer hunting Berry Wildlife Management Land off of U.S. 27.
The man was shot by another hunter, identified as a 22-year-old from Cisco, according to Capt. Johnny Johnson of the Department of Natural Resources. He said he did not have the names of the men and the man’s condition was not known.
“They were both walking at the time but not together,” Johnson said.
DNR officials, Floyd County Police, Redmond Regional Medical Center Emergency Medical Services and the Rome-Floyd Fire Department were staged on U.S. 27 south just south of Armuchee Church of God.
