On November 22, at 9:50a.m., rescue personal and police were
called to the area of Yellow Bank Road in Dunkirk for a report of a
gunshot wound.
Investigation revealed that a 47 year old
male was suffering from a shotgun wound from a hunting accident.
The hunter was part of a group hunting rabbits when he was
accidentally shot by a juvenile in the same hunting party. The
victim was shot with a #6 pellet, which is consistent with the type
used for small game.
