BAZETTA, Ohio — Authorities say a duck hunter drowned after a
boat flipped over and sank Saturday on Mosquito Lake in Trumbull
County.
Fire Chief Dennis Lewis says the three men aboard
yelled for help and were heard by duck hunters on the shore. They
called 911.
Two of the men were rescued. They were taken to
St. Joseph Health Center in Warren for treatment and were released.
Lewis says 15 agencies looked for the third hunter for hours.
Around 5 p.m.
a hunter found Daniel Khalil Jr.'s body floating
10 feet from shore, nearly a mile from where the boat sank.
