LYNN, Ind. -- Austin M. Spain bagged an antlered deer that could
have gone down in the record books.
Instead, he faces a
criminal record and being booked into jail.
Spain, 21, Lynn,
illegally shot what a state conservation officer and a Boone and
Crockett Club official call "the deer of a lifetime."
Spain
faces charges including illegal taking and possession of deer, a
class C misdemeanor, and illegal tagging, also a class C
misdemeanor.
