Staten Island hunter James Sperring shot himself in the
foot while hunting with his brother in the Sullivan County town of
Lumberland on Tuesday.
Sperring, 53, was using a rope to pull a loaded gun up to a tree
stand. The gun discharged with the bullet striking his right foot.
