A Houston-area teenager whose father accidentally shot him while
hunting in Waller County was scheduled for leg surgery Thursday
afternoon, officials said.
The accident happened about 5:45
p.m. Wednesday, as darkness was falling on the 10-acre tract where
the two were hunting in separate blinds, Davis said.
They
were preparing to leave when the father saw what he thought was a
deer and shot his son from a distance of about 150 to 200 yards,
Davis said.
