Coconino County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting
of a would be elk hunter on Sunday morning. A 23-year old
Minnesota man was in the woods off of Welch Road near I-40 scouting
for Elk.
The victim felt extreme pain in his suddenly bloodied hand.
The man had been shot by someone from an unknown direction.
