LA: Reserve man shot in the neck by his hunting partner in accident

January 15, 2013

From NOLA.com

A St. John the Baptist Parish resident was accidentally shot in the neck on Saturday morning by his hunting partner. Early on Saturday morning, Kirk Torres, 40, and his friend Danny Aucoin, 38, were hunting nutria in the swamps surrounding the Reserve Canal when their boat hit a submerged stump, knocking Aucoin backward in his chair, at which point he accidentally fired his .22 caliber rifle and struck Torres in the neck.
