AK: Man Dies on Southwest Alaska Hunting Trip

ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
 
Alaska State Troopers are investigating the death of a 37-year-old Pitka's Point man reported killed on a hunting trip in southwest Alaska.
 
Troopers were notified Saturday afternoon that Darrell Hunt had died in a snowmachine accident.
 
Other members of the hunting party carried his body to Saint Mary's before troopers were notified.
 
Saint Mary's is 450 miles northwest of Anchorage.
