IA: DNR investigating death of hunter in NE Iowa

HARPERS FERRY, Iowa (AP) — Authorities say a northeast Iowa man has died while hunting.
 
The Allamakee County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called Monday night to a wooded area near Harpers Ferry.
 
A hunter had found an acquaintance who had also been hunting on the property.
 
The body was identified as 70-year-old Serenus P. Platten, of Harpers Ferry.
 
Platten had fallen from a tree stand.
