VA: Colonial Beach boy injured in hunting accident

An 11-year-old boy from Colonial Beach accidentally shot himself in the foot on Saturday during the opening day of general firearms season. 

The boy was deer hunting with his father and others in King George County, said Lee Walker, spokesman for the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.

About 3 p.m., the boy’s gun accidentally discharged, hitting his big toe on the left foot.
