LA: Hunter Dies in Boating Accident on the Atchafalaya

A 20-year-old hunter is dead after a boating accident on the Atchafalaya waterway. .
 
Iberia Parish deputies say two hunters were traveling on the waterway by boat around 4:20 am Saturday when the boat hit the limb of a tree. Deputies say the boat capsized, causing both hunters to be thrown into the water.
 
Deputies say one of the hunters was able to swim to the bank of the river and call for help. The other hunter was found dead a short time later.
