HUNTING ACCIDENT: Charles City Man Shot
 
A Charles City man was shot while hunting Sunday evening.
 
The Iowa DNR says 32-year-old Ryan Alton was sent to hospital after being struck in the hip from a slug while deer hunting.
 
Alton was part of a group of five hunting four miles southwest of Charles City when one of them took a shot at a deer but didn’t see Alton.
