GA: Hunter dies when deer stand breaks

December 16, 2013

From WALB.com

A hunting accident claims the life of a Georgia man.

Family members found 62-year old Don Brooks from Hampton late Sunday afternoon in a field off Slosheye Road west of Vienna in Dooly County.

Investigators say the straps on his deer stand broke, and he fell to his death.

Brooks was last seen Friday morning when he left for a hunting trip.
