KY: Sportsman dies in hunting accident

December 17, 2013

From CaseyNews.net

The body of 77-year-old Harold Wethington, of Liberty, was found Saturday afternoon on the Green River in Green County. Wethington, and Larry Stokes, 57, of Somerset, a close friend who also died in the accident, were duck hunting from a boat on Green River. Stokes’ body was found about 10 a.m. on Sunday.

Green County Coroner Carol Ray said that the cause of death was accidental drowning.

Harold’s close friend, Keith Caudill, who owns B&K Tire in Liberty, said that Wethington’s wife called him about 8:30 p.m. Friday and said her husband had not returned home.
