From HollandSentinel.com

Holland, Mi - A 24-year-old Zeeland Township woman was shot by her husband Saturday afternoon in Jamestown Township in what is being described as a hunting accident.

Sgt. Greg Rotman, of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, said deputies were dispatched to Zeeland Community Hospital shortly after 4 p.m. on a report of an accidental shooting.

When they arrived, a 27-year-old Zeeland Township man reported that he and his wife were hunting near 16th Avenue and Byron Road in Jamestown Township.

The man said he aimed and shot at a rabbit, but did not realize his wife was in his line of fire.
