FL: Turkey hunter shot on opening day

FELDA, Fla. — On March 1, at approximately 8:30 a.m., John Milton Long, 70, was walking back to his truck after spending the morning turkey hunting in the Okaloacoochee Slouth State Forest in Felda, Fla. when he was shot on the right side of his body by another hunter, who was located approximately 38 yards away, according to a report released by FWC.
 
Long was reportedly shot from his cheek to his knee.
