FL: Man suffered cardiac arrest in deadly fishing accident

August 22, 2014

From WINKNews.com

PINE ISLAND, Fla.- Florida Fish and Wildlife released additional information into a fishing accident that killed 68-year-old Walter Sharp yesterday.

Investigators believe Sharp died from cardiac arrest after getting caught in a fishing net in the water about a half mile east of Picnic Island, between Pine Island and Sanibel.

Investigators say Sharp fell into the water after drifting into a manatee speed sign.

That sent him overboard and into the net.
