Hunting accident leaves Holland man seriously injured

A hunting accident has left a tri-state man seriously injured.

According to Indiana Conservation officers, 77-year-old Paul Moore of Holland fell about 15 feet from a tree stand onto the ground below.

This happened at the Sugar Ridge Fish and Wildlife area.

According to the officers, Moore's hunting partner heard him fall and was able to begin CPR until medics arrived.

Moore was then flown to Evansville with multiple injuries.

According to the Department of Natural Resources, Moore said he lost his grip while climbing into the stand, causing him to fall backwards.
