Man seriously injured in hunting accident

PAVILION - A man was shot in the chest by a hunter near Perry and Telephone roads Sunday night.

Emergency personnel were called to the area about 7 p.m.

The man, in his early 40s, was taken by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, according to dispatchers.

It was not known what the men were hunting but the victim was shot with a shotgun.

No further information was available.
