WEST CHESTER, Pa. (AP) A man was shot in the stomach with
a 16-inch hunting arrow by a motorist in a passing sport utility vehicle,
Benito Vargas, 48, said he was walking home from work
around 1 a.m. Sunday when the driver's side window of a white SUV slid open,
exposing the front part of a crossbow. A red, broad-head tipped arrow,
generally used for hunting animals, landed in Vargas's stomach.
Vargas, a restaurant worker, was released Wednesday from
the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Police said he had been
unable to provide descriptions of four people who were allegedly inside the
