HUNTER Reports Shot Fired His Way

The Roscommon County Sheriff's Department and Department of Natural Resources conservation officers are investigating a report of a shot fired in the direction of a hunter in Roscommon Township Nov. 29.

A 36-year-old Harrison hunter told investigators he was sitting in his usual hunting spot south of Canoe Camp Road around 8:15 a.m. when someone yelled. A few minutes later, he said, he heard a gun shot and a bullet went over his head. After a short time, he heard a man order him out of the spot, the hunter said.
