Illegal Hunting Ends in Hunter's Death

7 December 2003

"Police pieced together the story of that tragic day when King Jr., a Westerly resident, died of a single gunshot wound to the upper back.

Four members of the hunting party were charged in connection with his death on a variety of misdemeanors, including failure to render aid, hunting without a license, conspiracy to violate fish and game laws, hunting in a party greater than five people, employing a dog while hunting deer and obstruction of justice."
