CHILDREN KILLED BY HUNTERS
The current issue of Animal People edited by Kim Bartlett and Merritt Clifton anmlpepl@whidbey.com mentions the following children accidentally killed by hunters:
1. Isaac Earl Reynolds 13 of Panoia Colorado killed by his father's accidental discharge
2. Marvin Olausen 9 of Oriska, North Dakota killed by a hunter's stray shot as he sat in his mother's pickup truck
3. Jarod Nign 9 of Carrollton, Ohio whose killer was charged with negligent homicide
4. Misty Taylor 16 Topeka Kansas killed by accidental discharge
5. John Schultz 17 of Wellsville Pa who apparently killed himself
6. Bobby Ahrns, 16 of Dayton Ohio killed when his 13 year old brother tripped on a log and accidentally discharged the gun
7. Joshua Jesperson 12 of Bloomsburg Pa who accidentally killed his father
There were 4 other incidents.
In addition a young girl in Green Township, Ohio suffered a collapsed lung from a stray bullet.
