(Kent County, December 8, 2004, 5:12 p.m.)
A $2,500
reward is being offered to help find the person who police
say trapped and killed a dog in a Lowell park.
It happened November 10 near where the Flat River
and Grand River meet.
A Brittany Spaniel was walking with its owner when
it walked into an animal trap and died.
City law prohibits trapping on city property.
Police did trace the serial number on the trap
to a Mecosta County man who says he sold it several years ago
in a garage sale.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)
is now offering the reward for information leading to an arrest.
