Woodridge man arrested last week for alleged drunken driving has been
charged with weapons offenses as well, authorities said.
Shaun Campbell was driving a 2002 Ford pickup on Intervale
Road in Mountain Lakes Friday night when he slid off the road and into a
tree, police said.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated that night.
In the pickup, police said they found two shotguns and
ammunition that Campbell said belonged to a friend who planned to go hunting
with him.
The weapons were confiscated and after investigation,
authorities charged Campbell Monday with lacking the proper firearms
identification card for the weapons, police said.
Campbell was released on $5,000 bail.
