A man who burrowed into a hayloft to try to escape
Conservation officers didn't hide well enough.
The MNR located the hideout of a Fort Frances area man
when officers arrived to investigate the illegal shooting of three deer last
month.
The remains of the animals had been found under a tarp and
some garbage in the back of the man's truck.
The 33 year old resident of Devlin was fined $2,000 and
suspended from hunting for three years.
However, the court ordered the return of the truck and ATV
that were seized by the MNR at the time of the arrest.
