WHITEHORSE -- Two American hunters have been fined a total of $15,000 for
shooting a rare Dall sheep just inside the Canadian border about 100 kilometres
northwest of Whitehorse.
Nicholas Olson, 47, of North Pole, Alaska, was fined $10,000.
The judge also ordered Olson's hunting partner, Mark Wattenberger, 44, of
South Prairie, Wash., to pay $5,000 for one count of illegally exporting
