Hunting Guide Gets Prison Time Mar 4, 2006
The guide accused of running an illegal hunting operation in
southwestern Wisconsin has been sentenced to 2 years in federal prison.
28 year old Adam Lawinger of Blue River pleaded guilty to the illegal
operation that also resulted in charges against 46 hunters in eleven
states.
Through the company he owned.. Lawinger served as a guide in Richland
and Iowa counties.
As part of their investigation, officers seized 30 mounted trophy
deer, turkey mounts and a number of rifles.
The D N R says it's the biggest display of seized evidence in the
history of wildlife law enforcement in Wisconsin.
