HARTLETON — Donald Zerbe, police chief of Hartleton Borough, was
recently fined for hunting within a residential safety zone, but will
not face any punitive action from the borough council.
Zerbe was reported by a resident for shooting at deer from his car
and was cited as hunting too close to a residence by Dirk B.
Reimensnyder, a wildlife conservation officer. Zerbe is allowed to hunt
from a vehicle with his handicapped license, obtained because he’s had
double knee replacement surgery and has difficulty walking on uneven
ground.
