Paul Thorne, Jr., faces negligent shooting charges.
PHILIPPI -- State Police have charged a man who troopers say shot
someone last week in a turkey hunting accident in Barbour County.
Paul Thorne Jr., 60, shot Burt Alan Harlan with a 20-gauge shotgun,
police said.
It happened on April 24 near Belington while both men were turkey
hunting.
Thorne turned himself into police after the incident.
Harlan received non-life threatening injuries from the shooting.
Thorne faces a charge of negligent shooting and has a hearing
scheduled in Barbour County Magistrate Court on May 8.
