A North Carolina man pleaded guilty to taking a buck on an antlerless
deer only license in Iowa earlier this month and paid $4,200 in fines.
Joseph Doss, 35, of Clemmons was hunting on a nonresident archery
license when he harvested a buck on the morning of Nov. 2 in Monona
County. Doss confessed during an interview with Iowa Department of
Natural Resources conservation officers, according to a report from the
Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
In addition to the fine, Doss also forfeited his archery equipment
valued at $800.
