A Wisconsin man won't be able to hunt in Ontario, Canada anytime
soon. And, he has to turn over the head of a bull moose he shot
illegally in 2006.
The Ontario Court of Justice banned 37-year-old Jason Skogstad of
Eleva from hunting in Ontario for a year and fined him $4,000 for
hunting and transporting the moose.
His hunting partner, 43-three-year-old Dennis Dziekan of Mondovi, was
fined $1,000 for illegal possession and transportation of a moose.
Authorities say the two Wisconsin men were attending a hunting camp
and that Skogstad used a nontransferable harvesting rights card from a
Dryden, Ontario resident.
