Illegal hunting costs 2 men fines, firearms
LITCHFIELD — Two hunters from New York caught illegally hunting turkeys
in Kent in May admitted guilt in Litchfield's Bantam Court on Tuesday and
were made to surrender their firearms and pay a fine.
Their two companions received probation as first-time offenders.
Three men and one woman were alleged to have been involved in an
organized group of illegal hunting for months. When they were arrested in
May, environmental police officers confiscated videotaping equipment and
firearms.
Michael M. Milano, 33, of 1133 Midland Ave., Bronxville, and Anthony S.
Finacchiaro, 32, of 70 Entranceway, East Purdys, were each ordered to pay a
$200 fine and surrender their firearms. They are forbidden from hunting for
one year.
