Two Rome brothers arrested while hunting
Dec 12, 2010
ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - Two brothers from Rome were arrested while they were
out hunting. The Oneida County Sheriff's office say they pulled over
Jonathan Douglas, 26, of Rome, for trespassing on CSX Railroad property in
the city of Rome.
Police found Douglas and his brother, Walter Douglas, 36, also of Rome,
deer hunting. According to Sheriff's Deputies, Walter Douglas was hunting
without a license and, based on a prior criminal conviction, shouldn't have
been in possession of a gun. Sheriff's Deputies also say Jonathan Douglas
had improperly tagged two deer.
The two brothers were additionally charged with possession of marijuana.
Both brothers will appear in court at a later date.
