Two men arrested for hunting illegally on a state refuge

Newport, Del. — Following an investigation, Delaware Division of Fish and
Wildlife Enforcement agents arrested two men on charges of weapons and
hunting violations on wildlife lands near Newport on Wednesday.
Don E. Bryant, age 53, of Wilmington, was arrested and charged with three
felony counts of possession of weapons/ammunition by a person prohibited,
one count of trespassing to hunt and one count of hunting on a refuge, said
Joanna C Wilson, a spokeswoman with the state Department of Natural
Resources and Environmental Control. His shotgun and ammunition were seized
as evidence.
Bryant was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court No. 11 in New Castle
and released on $11,000 bond pending trial in Superior Court, Wilson said.
Charles D. Adams, age 48, of Wilmington, was arrested and charged with
trespassing to hunt and hunting on a state refuge, Wilson said. He was fined
and released.
DNREC announced the arrests on Thursday.
