SUTHERLIN, Ore. -- A Sutherlin man was arrested after troopers
discovered he was allegedly involved in illegal hunting activities.
Troopers arrested Shawn Stevens, 38, a convicted felon, Tuesday
morning after they received a tip that Stevens was involved in unlawful
hunting activities.
They searched his home and found multiple sets of deer and elk
antlers.
Stevens was arrested for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and
Unlawful Possession of Elk Antlers and Deer Antlers.
His mother Marjorie Stevens, 58, was lodged in the Douglas County
Jail for an unrelated charge. She was also cited for Unlawful Possession
of Less than an Ounce of Marijuana.
