The bucks are out of velvet. That means poaching will be stepping
into high gear. Received a few recent reports in Adams County.
Pa. Game Commission Wildlife Conservation Officer Darren David
reports that Daniel W. Watkins, 54 of Abbottstown, pled guilty to
charges of taking or possessing big game out of season and making false
or fraudulent statements, stemming from an incident on March 22 in which
a male wild turkey was killed in Hamilton Township. Fines and costs
total over $1,200.
