Hunter Charged with Wanton Waste

October 3, 2011

From Grand Forks Herald

CO Jeremy Woinarowicz (Thief River Falls) reports taking a call of a fox being shot and left in a field. The subsequent investigation led to an individual admitting to shooting the fox while duck hunting stating his reason for shooting the fox out of season was to protect young ducks from a predator.

The firearm used was seized and charges are pending for taking a fox out of season and wanton waste.
