DOVER, Del., Nov. 4 -- Delaware Department of Natural Resources and
Environmental Control issued the following news release:
To achieve public compliance through education and enforcement
actions that help conserve Delaware's fish and wildlife resources and
ensure safe boating and public safety, DNREC Division of Fish and
Wildlife Enforcement agents issued 16 citations and a number of warnings
for violations of recreational boating, hunting and fishing regulations
between Oct. 26 and Nov. 2.
Eric R. Fry, age 36, of Bear was taken into custody by Fish and
Wildlife agents after turning himself in on Oct. 29 to Delaware State
Police Troop 2 in Newark. Fry was arraigned in Justice of the Peace
Court 11 in New Castle on charges of resisting arrest, conspiracy and
fishing without a license. He was also arraigned on a court capias for
four counts of driving while suspended/revoked and one count of D.U.I.
and committed to the Howard R.
Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington in default of $1,000
secured bond pending a court date.
The number of citations issued between Oct. 26 and Nov. 2 by
violation type included the following:
Wildlife Conservation: Possession of unlawfully taken game, hunting
without a license (2), hunting with prohibited gun, failure to tag deer,
no state waterfowl stamp, failure to display hunter orange.
