Man charged with illegally hunting ducks

A 20-year-old was arrested Tuesday morning after Wildlife and Fisheries agents found him hunting ducks on private land without a federal license, authorities said.

Steven Fox, 500 Mobile Estates Drive, Gray, was found hunting off Texas Gulf Road in Bourg without a hunting license, police said. Fox was also wanted for failing to appear in court, police said.

Fox is charged with hunting migratory game birds without a federal license, criminal trespassing, failing to comply with hunting safety regulations, and hunting ducks without a federal license. He was released from the Terrebonne Parish jail after posting a $3,500 bond.
