WARSAW -- A Perry man has been arrested in connection with a Nov. 26 incident in which a home was damaged by a shotgun slug, state police said.

Francis P. Powers, 69, was charged Thursday with second-degree reckless endangerment, illegal attempt to kill a deer, discharge of a firearm over a public highway, and failure to tag a doe deer, said troopers and state Department of Environmental Conservation police.

The incident allegedly occurred on Burke Hill Road. Powers was released and is to appear in Warsaw Town Court at a later date.
