OSBORNE — The name of an 11th person ticketed for hunting deer
illegally was released Wednesday.
Brian Brummer, who has a Cawker City mailing address, has been cited
for the illegal use of radios to hunt deer, and one count of using a
vehicle to hunt deer, said Paul Gregory, Osborne County attorney.
Brummer’s first appearance in Osborne County District Court is Jan.
9.
The alleged offense occurred in Osborne County. That case is
connected to 10 other people who were ticketed for illegally hunting
deer in Mitchell County between Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.
Mitchell County Attorney Mark Noah originally said that 16 persons
had been ticketed.
Citations were issued to the 10 people from the Hunter and Tipton
communities. Their first appearance in Mitchell County District Court,
in Beloit, is Jan. 10. They face fines of $500 a count. Noah said he
will offer those hunters a diversion plan.
