HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Ten people have been charged with hunting for
dove over baited fields in Greene County in 2009.
Two cases alleging federal crimes related migratory birds were filed
this past week in U.S. District Court in Hattiesburg. In one of the
cases, eight people are charged with hunting over bait on Sept. 5, 2009.
One of those men is also charged with putting bait on the field.
In the other case, two men are charged with hunting over bait on
Sept. 7, 2009. One of them is charged with putting the bait out between
August and September of that year.
