OR: Klamath Falls man arrested, accused of using illegal bear bait while hunting
April 24, 2012
From OregonLive.com
State police fish and wildlife troopers apprehended Trevor
Lawrence Harris, 30, on Sunday while he was hunting (bears)from a
tree stand near Keno. The arrest was the culmination of an
eight-month investigation by the department after finding an illegal
bear bait station in the area last fall. Harris is believed
to have used dead crows, salmon, steelhead and trout to lure bears
into the area. The 30-year-old was transported to Klamath
County Jail and faces hunting bear with bait, waste of game fish,
placing offensive substances on property, hunting prohibited method,
criminal mischief in the second degree and driving while suspended
charges.
