Reminder for the week: Hunters need to know season dates,
hunter orange rules
DOVER (Oct. 12, 2012) – DNREC Division
of Fish & Wildlife Enforcement agents responded to 23 complaints and
issued 22 citations between Oct. 3-10.
Incidents of particular
note included:
On Oct. 3, agents arrested Luke A. Davis, 42, of Newark,
and charged him with conspiracy, resisting arrest and criminal
impersonation, along with one count of fishing without a license and
three counts of possession of undersized blue crabs in connection
with a September 2011 incident
Citations issued by violation
type included the following, with the number of charges in
parentheses:
Recreational Fisheries Conservation: Fishing
without a license (2), Kent and New Castle counties; possession of
undersized blue crabs (3), New Castle County.
Wildlife
Conservation: Illegally offering white-tailed deer parts – mounted
deer heads – for sale (2), New Castle County; trespassing after
hours in a state wildlife area (2), Kent County; failure to tag deer
(1), Sussex County.
